Salient Features :

City upgradation would include the development and beautification of roadways from:

  1. Bemina to Dalgate
  2. Maulana Azad Road
  3. Residency Road
  4. I.G. Road (Airport Road)
  • Footpath beautification and Green space development along the way would enhance the beauty and character of the city.

Salient Features:

  • City upgradation would include the development of areas in and around downtown that includes Footpath development and beautification in the downtown areas , which would create semblance of living and working in a heritage town with vibrant culture and art at display.

Salient Features :

Upgradation and beautification of this temple will include::

  1. Façade improvement and painting of the main structure.
  2. Improvements of the area inside the compound.
  3. Improvement of the ghat on the foot of the temple to improve access to the temple via the river.

Redevelopment – FCI Godowns-Commercial District

Salient Features:

 

  • Can help you to cut down on waste and turn your kitchen scraps back into a usable resource.

  • More than half of the daily waste that a household generates is organic matter.

  • DPR under Preparation by SMC.

Salient Features:

  • Development of water transport would enrich local tourism and promote alternate use of public transport.

  • Project to be taken up on PPP basis depending upon the outcome / interest on the Jhelum pilot project.

Salient Features:

  • Lifeline buildings/Structures need to be identified such as hospitals, bridges etc.
  • Once identification plan is made, this project could be clubbed together with Earthquake Resistance Structural Audit project (JAM-SRI-085)

Safety Plans of Lifeline Buildings

Salient Features:

  • Buildings need to be identified
  • Better to utilize these funds with heritage building projects or could be clubbed together with Safety Plans of Lifeline
  • Buildings project (JAM-SRI-086)

Earthquake Resistance Structural Audit

Salient Features:

  • This DEBT finance project will be taken up either in DEBT finance mode or in PPP mode after viability study is done.

  • Other options being explored, and will explore them in consultation with SMC to determine future course of action.

Sewerage connection and Network

Salient Features:

  • Will provide some real time weather related information to the general public.
  • Could install multiple VMDs to deliver those messages across the city.

Salient Features:

  • Will provide real time Noise monitoring around identified high noise spots in the city.

  • Will help in providing real time quality data to the government, which can then devise plans to mitigate them.

  • 200.00 crores reappropriated from original project cost of 276.15 for new projects as per 7th BOD

  • Footpath development on other projects will be clubbed together with this project and would be taken up along the way as ducting is being installed.

Can be used for multiple services like:

  • Bus and other transportation fares
  • Pay for parking
  • Pay for toll on roads.
  • Use for shopping at designated retailers.
  • Withdraw cash at ATM

Salient Features:

  • Provide cleaner transportation source.
  • New buses have advanced features like on board Wi-Fi and other services.
  • Lower maintenance costs
  • Environmentally friendly.

Electric Buses

Salient Features:

Will provide services like

  • Wi-Fi point
  • Charging point for electronic devices
  • A tourist information point and provide
  • Enhanced communication features like integrated real time communication systems which enable customers to press a call button to either hear an automated message providing information about the next buses, or to talk to a human operative.

Smart Bus Stops with Passenger system

Salient Features:

  • A craft museum is envisioned to be made there which highlights some of the local arts and crafts.

     

  • Have to rehabilitate the families residing there.

Yarkand Saria – Boutique Craft Museum

Salient Features:

  • Under Feasibility study
  • DPR yet to be prepared.
  • To be developed as Craft Exhibition Space in conjugation with the Handicrafts department.
